Suvankar "Seve" Majumdar is Chief of Hematology at Children's National Medical Center overseeing hematological services in the Washington metropolitan area. He has broad expertise in clinical and translational research with a special interest in clinical trial design, currently conducting phase 1/2 clinical trials for acute pain in sickle cell disease. Seve was one of the original planning members in establishing the American Thrombosis Hemostasis Network, a web-based registry for persons with bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr. Majumdar received his medical degree from the University of Zimbabwe School of Medicine. He has mentored many medical students, residents and post-doctoral students, and is a compassionate physician who loves taking care of children with hematological disorders.
