Learning Objectives:

Assess the practitioner’s viewpoints to improve the metrics for quality improvement initiatives in sickle cell disease.
Evaluate current practice patterns for routine and chronic care maintenance in regard to the evidence-based guideline-recommended treatments in sickle cell disease (SCD).
Understand the management of acute pain crises using evidence-based treatment in sickle cell disease.
Learn the transition from paediatric to adult care in treating sickle cell disease and highlight the challenges faced in patient self-management and effective shared decision-making.
Develop action plans to fill the gaps in care planning and assess the evidence-based guideline for the treatment and management of sickle cell disease in new-borns, children and adults
