Dr. Tangour is a distinguished medical professional with a profound dedication to the field of sickle cell disease. Graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in Tunisia in 2017, he began his journey by treating patients with hemoglobinopathies during his residency training in Tunisia, North Africa.
Dr. Nizar Tangour later pursued research experience at Arnold Trousseau Children's Hospital in Paris, France. He continued to expand his medical career by working as an Emergency Room physician at Melun and Mantes la Jolie Hospital in France, where he treated a significant number of sickle cell disease patients since these hospitals are serving a community with relatively high prevalence of sickle cell disease.
With a passion for patient care, Dr.Tangour also served as a physician at an infusion center in Colombes, France, providing specialized treatment to individuals with pulmonary oncology conditions. He also graduated From Faculty of medecine of Paris Saclay University, with a Master's degree in public health and clinical research. During his master training, he was contributing to clinical research with the French Registry of Childhood Cancer.
Currently in his second year of residency at New York Health and Hospital Corporation, Metropolitan Hospital Center, New York Medical College, Dr. Tangour is actively involved in the ECHO QI project, under the guidance of Dr. Jason Mack and Dr. Kenneth Rivlin. He are also aspiring to become a pediatric hematologist and oncologist.
Dr. Tangour's dedication and experience in sickle cell disease make him a valuable contributor to the field, working tirelessly to improve patient outcomes and advance medical knowledge.
