Dr. Aric Parnes, MD is Associate Medical Director for U.S. Hematology Medical Affairs at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston, MA. Prior to joining the company in 2022, he practiced hematology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, focusing on bleeding disorders, anemias, and premalignant hematology. He was Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Associate Program Director for the Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program at Massachusetts General Brigham/Dana-Farber, and Associate Director of the Boston Hemophilia Center. Published in Blood, British Journal of Haematology, American Journal of Hematology, and New England Journal of Medicine, he split his time between clinical research, teaching, and patient care. While at Vertex, he continues to see hematology patients at the Brigham. When not presenting at medical conferences, he can be found chasing a soccer ball with his 12-year old twins in Newton, MA.
