University. He is currently Director of the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease
Program and Global Health Research Lead at Children’s National Hospital and
an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of
Medicine in Washington, DC. He has extensive Global Health research in SCD
including director of the multinational CASiRe (Consortium for the Advancement of
Sickle Cell Disease Research) International Consortium he has focused his
research in understanding the varied phenotypic expression of SCD in different
populations.
