Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to list key states with the highest burden of sickle cell patients who face traumatic injuries and require the development of critical care guidelines.
Upon completion, participants will be able to explain the impact of traumatic injury on chronic pain, quality of life, and healthcare-associated costs and experiences specific to patients with sickle cell disease.
Upon completion, participants will be able to establish a link between the mechanism of injury and poor injury prevention guidelines in critical states facing high rates of injury among patients with sickle cell disease.
